In our opinion, the heel lock lacing technique is the best method to lacing running shoes. If you have ever experienced sliding heels, blisters on your heels from the sliding, or blisters on your toes also from sliding heels, give this lacing technique a try. Directions are below along with a link to the video we shared on our Instagram.
1. Loop laces per usual (criss crossing).
2. Loop the ends of each lace through their respective extra hole from out to in.
3. Leave space in the 2 loops you just created.
4. Now criss cross and insert each lace through the opposite loops.
5. Tighten laces by pulling both sides down.
6. Tie a knot per usual.
7. Double knot for good measure.
